Kemble grand Piano

The Kemble Piano Company are now the only British Piano manufacturer still manufacturing pianos.
Started in 1911 by Michael Kemble in North London (the then piano making centre in Britain) this 3rd generation family busines has steadily grown to become the largest piano manufacturer in Western Europe. The 1960's saw Robert Kemble expand the sales and manufacturing plant to such an extent that new premises were required. Moving to Milton Keynes the family commissioned the building of a new factory capable of handling the demand. Under the guidance of Brian Kemble (Michaels grandson) this has become a technologically advanced facility which continually strives towards producing quality pianos and reasonable prices.

In 1984 Yamaha acquired a major shareholding in Kembles, and with a complete re-fit and installation of computer-controlled manufacturing plant Kembles started to make Yamaha pianos under licence in the UK. Today most of the mid-range Yamaha pianos are manufactured in the Kemble factory.

Kemble pianos are NOT Yamaha pianos. The Kemble pianos produce a warm and rich tone favoured by many which coupled with an extremely responsive action makes these instruments a delight to play and a very solid investment.
