SELLING YOUR PIANO

piano buying

Time to Upgrade ? Time to go for a Digital piano ? Time to just 'Say Goodbye' ..... all good reasons to contact us should you wish to dispose of your existing piano

We are interested in purchasing good quality upright and grand pianos especially Bechstein, Steinway, Bluthner and Bosendorfer and pianos with particularly attractive casework.
We are also keen to buy any modern pianos made within the last 40 years. In most cases the pianos must be overstrung (strings crossing in a 'V' shape) and in uprights must have the underdamped damping system (call us for information if you are not sure). General conditions regarding the interior and the casework do affect prices.

We greatly encourage part-exchange for either acoustic or digital pianos so ring us to explore the various options.

What information do you need to know for you to buy my piano ?

The information we need to know to give you an assessment on your piano is :

  • The Manufacturer
  • The Model (where applicable)
  • The Serial Number (found on the iron frame)
  • The Stringing pattern
  • The Damping pattern
  • The Case finish - Mahogany, Walnut, Black etc and its general condition
