Markson Pianos 5-8 Albany Street London, United Kingdom

Look in detail at an everyday life, and you can find art, beauty, inspiration.

“That’s Me on the Left, in the Parka” is a solo show about self-consciousness and the nature of love taking place at an unusual venue: Markson Piano Store in Central London. It presents real lives of ordinary people – family, friends, acquaintances, colleagues – set to music, with slides, film & humor.

“Parka” is self-accompanied with live original music throughout – played on a homemade upright piano that comes to life. It’s projected on and crawled inside; it moves on its own, trap doors open and additional instruments pop up; the back lifts off, drawers pull out and walls swivel until everything – inside and out – is open.
There are a very limited number of tickets each night – don’t miss this unique event…
