There is a Gentleman who goes by the name of Ronald Stein, who over the past few years has been attending the Markson Pianos concert series to sketch some of our artists.

With a life long passion for music and art, Ronald has captured numerous musicians over the years such as Arturo Pizarro, Piatigorsky, Segovia, Barry Wordsworth, Lang Lang, the BBC Concert Philharmoinic & Symphony Orchestras, the LSO, the Oxford Philomusica & Philharmonia Orchestras, as well as many worldwide Orchestras, Quartets, choirs, and instrumentalists. Also completely neglected Piano & Harpsichord Tuners, etc., etc.’

Born in London’s Soho, Ronald started drawing at the age of three outside his parents shop.

Subsequently, he attended St. Martins School of Art, and while a student there, aged 18, he and other ecstatic students poured out onto nearby Trafalgar Square to listen to Winston Churchill give the famous VE day speech.
