A bit on Kemble pianos
Established in Stoke Newington, in North London in 1911 by Michael Kemble, and by 1933 had grown the production to include B Squire, Squire Longson, and in the 1960s Kemble Pianos were also making John Brinsmead, Cramer, Moore & Moore, Renn. Under licence they also made pianos for John Broadwood, Eavestaff, Chappell, after which they were the UK importers of the Yamaha brand of Pianos, organs, some hi fi products, and all other musical instruments made by Yamaha. In 1988 Yamaha took over Kemble, rationalised the production line, and generally improved the quality of the Kemble range.
