A bit on Ritmuller pianos
Ritmuller is one of several pianos made by the Pearl River Piano Group. Today, Pearl Piver is the largest piano maker in the world (likely to change at some stage). Pianos are built in Guangzhou, China. Pearl River are very good at creating trade alliances, and have made pianos specifically for Yamaha (who invested a lot to improve the quality of the Pearl River Piano) and Steinway, where the Essex Piano is manufactured. In 2016 they took over a 90% holding of the Wilhelm Schimmel Piano, and moved the production of the Ritmuller Piano to that factory.
