Piano Storage

With our bespoke warehouse based in East London, we are able to offer a safe and secure environment for the storage of your piano.
We can store pianos for just one day, or for many years, giving you peace of mind that your instrument will be well looked after.
Grand pianos are stored on their sides in thickly padded transport covers, and on grand piano shoes (skids). This means your piano is elevated from the floor and well-protected during its time with us. In most cases, pianos are slid into the racks, and that is where they stay until it is time for them to return home. Upright pianos are usually wrapped in transport blankets and polythene, or are stored with covers if there for a long period The process involved is very simple, you just give us a call, or email us, so that we can ascertain your requirements, we then give you a quotation which inevitably will include the collection, storage, and the re-delivery costs.
Prior to re-delivery, your piano will be checked over, and if it has been in storage with us for some time it will be given an initial tuning to bring the string tensions back up to pitch. It is inevitable that once your piano is returned, it will be out of tune, and will need to acclimatise to its new environment. We recommend leaving it for at least 3 – 4 weeks, before having it tuned…. a service we will be more than happy to provide.

Something to consider while your piano is in store with us may be to have it serviced, or restored. We will be delighted to assess your piano and make any recommendations for repair or restoration and provide you with a quotation. Please mention if you are interested in this when booking your piano storage
